RAT-e-TOO-ee

So here we are our first dish from Paris. I made mine with a little bit of a twist,i added marinara sauce and some mozzarella cheese.Then for some spice i added bell peppers.Personally ill definitely use this as a side dish with of course some chicken and roasted potatoes. I actually kind of like it,i love how the oregano works with the vegetables and cheese.It almost kind of gives you that vegetable pizza taste without the dough.

INGREDIENTS
2 medium size tomatoes
1 medium size egg plant
1 small yellow bell pepper
1 small red bell pepper
Marinara sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Garlic about two cloves
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Oregano
Basil

DIRECTIONS 
Slice all vegetables into thin slices
Heat up a pan
Mince garlic and toast until brown
Remove toasted garlic
Add marinara sauce
Season with salt,pepper,basil
Allow to cook for about 15 mins
Pour sauce into a casserole dish
Add mozzarella cheese
Arrange vegetables anyway you like it
Drizzle oil over vegetables
Sprinkle some salt and pepper
Bake for 30 minuets at about 250 degrees
Garnish with Oregano

I'm sure you guys have heard about "Taillevent",he wrote the famous Le Vandier, one of the earliest recipe collections during the middle ages of France

The French contributed a whole lot to the western cuisines,well that explains why we use their criteria in culinary institutions all over the world.So of course when you hear "France" the first thing that comes to your head is wine and yeah cheese,even though personally i think the french cuisine is all about butter.So enough about the whole history even though i didn't say a lot.So as i mentioned earlier i am going to take you around the world with yes say it out loud  FOOD.

So the first recipe we are going to making is one of the most popular dishes made in France, its so popular there was a disney movie/animation named after it in 2007,any guesses ? nope? okay then 

YESSS, we are making a beautiful dish called ratatouille,it is a french stewed vegetable dish made with a variety of vegetables from egg plants to zucchinis,tomatoes and bell peppers.An excellent dish for the vegeterians. Compared to the other french dishes this is something that isn't too complicated to make,I'm not saying the french cuisine is complicated i love the french cuisine it screams elegance.
